Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Total Time 4 hours hrs
Course Snack
Servings 24 pieces

Ingredients

  • 2 Oranges peeled with all the white pith removed
  • Maple syrup or your preferred sweetener to taste (optional)
  • 1.5 Tbsp Gelatine powder more or less depending on your desired consistency

Instructions

  • Peel the oranges, removing as much of the white pith as possible for a sweeter flavour.
  • Cut the oranges in 4, and place the oranges into the Thermomix bowl and blend for 30 sec / Sp 10, or until completely smooth.
  • Taste and add your preferred sweetener if desired. Mix 5 sec / Sp 4.
  • In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatine over 2–3 tablespoons of cold water (or a little of the orange purée). Leave for 5 minutes to bloom.
  • Meanwhile, gently heat the orange purée for 1 min / 50°C / Sp 2.
  • Add the bloomed gelatine to the Thermomix bowl and mix 30 sec / 50°C / Sp 3 until completely dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into silicone gummy moulds, a muesli bar mould, or a shallow container.
  • Refrigerate for 2–4 hours, or until completely firm.
  • Remove from the moulds, or cut into bite-sized squares if using a shallow container.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
